Palestine supporters close main street in London in solidarity with Gaza

LONDON, April 05 (YPA) – The “Yath Dimand” group, known for its pro-Palestine demonstrations in Britain, closed today, Saturday, the main Marylebone Street in the capital, London, in front of traffic, as part of its calls for a ceasefire in Gaza and in solidarity with its members who were arrested.

The group announced its intention to organize daily protests throughout April in solidarity with the Palestinian issue. Its first demonstrations were organized on Saturday, as a large number of participants gathered in separate places in London.

To avoid police obstruction of the protest, demonstrators gathered in small groups at separate locations, then converged in the afternoon around Marylebone Street, one of the city’s main six-lane arterial roads.

The protesters closed the intersection with the famous Baker Street, chanting slogans such as “Free Palestine,” “Ceasefire Now,” and “Stop bombing hospitals, children, and Gaza.”
