2 members of STC factions injured due to armed ambush in Abyan

ABYAN, March 19 (YPA) – Two members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) were injured, on Tuesday, in an armed ambush in Abyan governorate, southern Yemen.

Local sources in the governorate reported that a supply vehicle belonging to the Transitional Council factions was ambushed by unknown individuals believed to be affiliated with terrorist elements east of Maudiyah district.

The sources added that the gunmen attacked the supply vehicle with a hail of bullets, seriously wounding two personnel.

The STC factions have been subjected to armed attacks that have left hundreds dead and wounded, including prominent leaders, and vehicles destroyed by improvised explosive devices (IEDs), since operation Arrows of the East, launched by the STC leadership in mid-August 2022, to seize control of Islah camps.
