European Union: Resumption of escalation in Gaza “terrifying”

BRUSSELS, Mar. 18 (YPA) – The European Union commented on Israel’s resumption of its war on the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in more than 400 Palestinian deaths.

The European Union’s Head of Crisis Management, Hajja Lahbib, described the situation in Gaza as “horrific,” noting the extensive civilian suffering.

She called for an immediate end to the war, respect for international humanitarian law, and the resumption of aid flows to the Strip, while stressing the need to restore a ceasefire to avoid further casualties.
