Outrage in Aden over Ibrahim Al-Aqroubi’s abduction, execution by STC

ADEN, March 10 (YPA) – The abduction and execution of young Ibrahim Al-Aqroubi in a prison operated by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions has sparked widespread public outrage and condemnation in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden.

Local sources reported that Al-Aqroubi was killed under torture inside a prison belonging to the so-called “Third Brigade, Support and Reinforcement,” which is affiliated with the STC.

The sources confirmed that Al-Aqroubi’s family has refused to receive his body.
Al-Aqroubi’s family accused the UAE-backed STC factions of being behind the execution, asserting that his arrest was due to his demand for justice for his niece, who was brutally assaulted in the Bir Ahmed area on June 17 of the previous year by gangs linked to the STC.
