Henna Engraving’s training sparks outrage in Shabwa

SHABWA, Feb. 19 (YPA)- A special training course in ‘Henna Engraving’ sparked a wave of outrage among the residents of Shabwa, an oil-rich province, who considered it a waste of time and resources at a time when Shabwa is suffering from an unprecedented collapse in security and services.

Activists on social media platforms denounced the UAE-backed Governor Awadh Al-Wazir, who sponsored activities that do not address the urgent needs of citizens, such as electricity, water, and healthcare services, not to mention the security chaos and daily infighting that is grinding down the tribes of Shabwa.

They emphasized that Shabwa is experiencing a state of escalating security and service breakdown, calling on Al-Wazir to direct his efforts toward addressing real crises instead of focusing on secondary activities that do not address the suffering of citizens.

Some activists sarcastically asked, “Will henna engraving’ solve the electricity crisis, or will incense-making stop the blood feuds among the tribes?
