WORLD, Feb. 19 (YPA) – US Central Command (CENTCOM) conducted several airstrikes by a pair of B-52 strategic bombers in several Arab countries in the region, to demonstrate force projection capabilities in the region.
Two B-52s from RAF Fairford, UK, flew across Europe and through nine partner nations in CENTCOM’s area of responsibility during their mission, which included aerial refueling and live munitions drops at ranges in several partner nations, according to CENTCOM.
Additionally, US F-15s and four partner nations provided fighter escorts for the bombers throughout the mission.
“Bomber Task Force missions demonstrate US power projection capability, commitment to regional security, and ability to respond to any state or non-state actor seeking to broaden or escalate conflict in the CENTCOM region,” said Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, CENTCOM commander.
Military observers believe that the dropping of live munitions by American bombers is a clear and direct threat to Arab regimes, particularly in Jordan and Egypt, to force them to accept Trump’s Gaza plan, which is to displace the residents of the Gaza Strip from their lands.
This serves the Zionist entity, which has failed to gain control over the Strip during 15 months of massacres and brutal crimes that have left more than 150,000 martyrs and wounded.
