Israeli Defense Ministry contracts to purchase thousands of heavy bombs

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Jan. 07 (YPA) – The Israeli Defense Ministry has signed two agreements with a local company to purchase weapons, including thousands of heavy aerial bombs, worth 1 billion shekels ($276 million), amid the ongoing war of extermination in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry announced in a statement on Tuesday, “signing two major military capabilities agreements with Elbit Systems, with a total value of nearly one billion shekels.”

She added: “The two agreements were signed by the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Major General (res.) Eyal Zamir, and the Chairman and CEO of Elbit Systems, Zahleel Machlis.”

The statement indicated that under the first agreement, Elbit Systems will supply the Israeli Ministry of Defense with thousands of heavy aerial bombs.

He stated that the second agreement includes establishing a national factory to produce raw materials that were mainly obtained from abroad before the war.
