SANAA, Dec. 06 (YPA) – Millions of Yemeni people took to the streets on Friday in al-Sabeen Square, the largest square in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, and other Yemeni provinces, in support for the Palestinian people and their resistance in Gaza, under the banner “Unwavering, Relentless, and Resolute Solidarity with Gaza.”
For the 60th consecutive week since the launch of the Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023, crowds gathered from various districts of the capital Sanaa and the Sanaa governorate to al-Sabeen Square, in response to the call of leader of revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi.
They reaffirmed their ongoing support for the Palestinian people, standing in solidarity without tire or fatigue, until victory is achieved.
The protesters carried Yemeni, Palestinian, and Lebanese flags, as well as freedom and resistance banners, photos of the martyred leaders, and placards condemning the US-Zionist crimes.
They expressed solidarity with Palestine and emphasized that Palestine remains the central issue for the Yemeni people. During the marches, both the American and Zionist flags were burned.
A statement was issued during the rallies, hailed the resilience and steadfastness of Palestinian fighters in their 14th month of struggle. It praised their strategic military operations, precise missile strikes, and ambushes that have thwarted the enemy’s plans to eradicate them and the Palestinian people.
The rallies’ statement also celebrated a show of unity by recent operations by Yemeni Armed Forces and the Iraqi Islamic resistance, which targeted the heart of the Zionist entity.
The statement urged the Arab and Islamic nations to be wary of American schemes aimed at dividing the region and diverting Muslims into secondary conflicts.
It condemned the genocidal crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against Palestinians in Gaza over 427 days, with the support of America and some Western countries. These crimes, which have left over 180,000 dead, injured, missing, or imprisoned, continue in the face of global silence and disgraceful Arab and Islamic inaction.
The statement called on Arab and Islamic nations to fulfill their moral, religious, and humanitarian duties toward Gaza, emphasizing that this obligation does not fade over time or with distractions.
It also expressed regret over the disgraceful positions of some Arab and Islamic regimes that have become enablers of the Zionist enemy, while Palestinians in Gaza suffer from deadly hunger due to the criminal blockade.
Responding to recent threats from US President-elect Trump against Palestinian resistance, the statement read: “We and all the fighters of our nation do not fear America’s threats or its so-called wrath.”
