Al-Qaeda executes STC’s recruit in Abyan

ABYAN, Nov. 18 (YPA) – The terrorist organization of Al-Qaeda has  announced the execution of a member of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

Media outlets loyal to the STC quoted the so-called “Al-Malahem Foundation” affiliated with the organization as saying that the death sentence was carried out against the recruit in the “Al-Amaliq” factions, Wahb Ahmed Omar Salem Jawas, on charges of communicating with the STC factions in Abyan.

It explained that “Jawas” reported the movements of the organization’s members, which led to the implementation of an ambush and their killing at one of the points in Abyan.

Political observers accuse Saudi Arabia of using “terrorism” through the Islah Party, one of the STC partners in the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, as a pressure card in all political stages.

Al-Qaeda has been targeting the Transitional factions in Modiyah, Abyan, since the “Siham Al-Sharq” operation to control Islah camps loyal to Saudi Arabia in August 2022.
