WASHINGTON, Oct. 06 (YPA) – The former US president, Donald Trump, has accused Yemeni immigrants to the United States of America of terrorism.
Trump described the migrants coming from Yemen across the southern border as “terrorists” and said that they were coming in large numbers.
Trump added: “There are people who come from the African Congo, from the Middle East, from Yemen, and they are known terrorists, and they are released into our country.”
Trump’s speech about the Yemenis was considered by Americans of Yemeni origin to be an inflammatory speech against immigrants.
They considered this an insult against the Yemeni community members, a number of whom began declaring their support for him in the upcoming presidential elections and opening an office to support his electoral campaign.
It is noteworthy that the majority of the votes of Yemenis and Arabs in America went to President Biden in the 2020 elections, in protest against Trump’s extremist policy against Arabs and immigrants.
Trump’s accusation against Yemeni immigrants came during his speech at an election festival in Pennsylvania.
