SANAA, Sept. 09 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected on Monday generally clear to partly cloudy weather, with varying intensity of rain, in scattered areas of the Yemeni provinces.
In its weather bulletin, the center indicated to the scattered showers may extend westward Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Lahj, Bayda, Dhale, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Rayma, Sanaa, Mahweet, Amran, Hajjah and Saada.
The bulletin pointed out that scattered rains also fell on the western coasts, with very fast winds around the Socotra Archipelago exceeding 40 knots, and moderate to active on the eastern and southern coasts and ranging in speed between 10-20 knots.
According to the center, the weather in the desert areas may be clear to partly cloudy in general, with the chance of scattered rain in some parts, and the winds will be light to moderate in speed and sometimes active.
It called on motorists to drive carefully on mountain roads of the poor horizontal visibility due to rainfall and dense low clouds, in addition to rock slides.
