UN Security Council to discuss Middle East situation

WORLD, Aug. 22 (YPA) – The United Nations Security Council is set to hold its monthly meeting today, Thursday, to discuss the situation in the Middle East, with a focus on the Palestinian issue.

This will be followed by a closed-door meeting.

The Secretariat is expected to provide a briefing to Security Council members on the situation in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, covering the political and humanitarian conditions in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression.
