Overcast weather, rainfall expected in several Yemeni governorates

SANAA, Aug. 02 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning, has forecasted rainfall of varying intensity accompanied with thunderstorm, strong winds and hailstones to hit parts of the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Al-Mahweet, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Hodeida, and the Tihama Plain.

In its weather forecast for the next 24 hours, the center mentioned rain of varying intensity accompanied   with thunderstorm to fall in parts of the governorates of Sanaa, Amran, Dhalea, Bayda, western Jawf, Marib, the highlands of Lahij, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramaut, Mahra, and parts of the southern coasts.

The center urged residents to be cautious and not to be in valleys and torrent passages in areas where rain is expected, to take precautions against thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail.

It also warned drivers on mountain roads of low horizontal visibility and rockfalls during rain.
