Protesters injured after pro-Palestinian demonstration in Berlin

BERLIN, July 21 (YPA) – German police forces suppressed a demonstration in support of the Palestinian cause in the streets of the capital Berlin, injuring several protesters.

In a protest march, which started from Neptunbrunnen Square, the demonstrators chanted slogans such as “Germany funds Israel to bomb,” “Israel is terrorist,” “Palestine is ours,” and “Freedom for Palestine.”

Tensions were escalated after three people raised the Israeli occupation flag in Potsdamer Platz, the end point of the march. As a result, the police intervened harshly against the participants in the pro-Palestine march and arrested a large number of people.

The police used disproportionate force during the arrest, resulting in protesters being injured during the harsh repression.

The police men did not allow the medical team to provide medical care to transfer the injured directly to the police car.
