LONDON, July 15 (YPA) – The British Foreign Office said on Monday that the new Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, would press for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of prisoners, during a visit to “Israel.”
The British Foreign Office added, in a statement, that Lamy would meet with the Prime Minister of the Zionist entity, Netanyahu, and the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, and would present “a credible and irreversible path towards a two-state solution.”
Reuters quoted Lammy as saying, “The death and destruction in Gaza is unbearable. This war must now end with an immediate ceasefire adhered to by both sides.”
Lammy will discuss with Netanyahu the entry of 680 tons of British aid into the Gaza Strip, according to the British Foreign Office.
