Sanaa calls for opening Sanaa Airport to various destinations

SANAA, July 13 (YPA) – Sanaa International Airport Director, Khaled Al-Shayef, called on Saturday for opening Sanaa Airport completely and to various destinations, as it is a right for all Yemeni people.

Al-Shayef confirmed in a press statement today, Saturday, that “Sanaa will not accept partial solutions.”

He explained that “the US-backed Saudi-led coalition continues to impose a total siege on Sanaa International Airport,” pointing out that there are thousands of Yemenis stranded in various countries and unable to return due to the imposition of the siege on the airport.

“Before the aggression and siege, thousands of passengers were leaving Sanaa Airport on 50 daily flights to more than 30 destinations,” Al-Shayef said.

Last Thursday, the leader of the Yemeni revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, addressed a strong warning to the Saudi regime, hinting at an upcoming response to the economic escalation against the Yemeni people carried out by the Saudi regime in the implementation of American orders.

The Minister of Transport in the Sanaa government, Abdulwahab Al-Durrah, said last Tuesday that “the coalition wants to restore the situation at Sanaa Airport to square one by banning flights.”
