GAZA, July 13 (YPA) – At least 71 Palestinians were killed and 289 others were injured so far as a result of the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces near the Al-Nas junction in the Mawasi Khan Yunis area in the south of the Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Saturday.
Earlier today, medical sources said that more than 50 Palestinians were killed and a large number of citizens were injured as a result of the Israeli occupation forces bombing the tents of displaced people in the Mawasi area, west of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli occupation forces targeted the Mawasi area with three missiles, killing dozens and wounding more than 120 others, the sources added, noting that more than 20 ambulances arrived at Kuwait Hospital in Khan Yunis after the Israeli army massacre.
The sources pointed out that “the Israeli occupation forces bombed members of the Civil Defense while they were trying to recover bodies in the Khan Yunis massacre.”
There are body parts of children as young as two years old as a result of the massacre committed by the Israeli army in Khan Yunis on Saturday.
By all means, including cars, donkeys, and others, the Palestinians are trying to transport the injured to the Nasser Medical Complex.
Israeli forces bombed a building on the main road between Al-Nus Junction and the University Roundabout in Mawasi Khan Yunis and a belt of fire next to it.
For its part, the government media office in Gaza said, “The occupation army committed a major massacre by bombing the refugee camps in Khan Yunis, leaving more than 100 martyrs and wounded, according to a preliminary toll.”
The office added, “Government and relief teams are still recovering dozens of martyrs and wounded until this moment from the site of the bombing and targeting.”
This massacre comes at a time when there are no hospitals capable of receiving this large number of martyrs and wounded, according to the media office.
The office held the Zionist enemy and America fully responsible for the continuation of these horrific massacres against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza said, “We are unable to provide medical services at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis due to the large number of wounded.”
Eyewitnesses explained what happened within moments in Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis, and said, “A series of violent raids, a ‘belt of fire’ from F16 planes with bombs weighing more than half a ton, targeted a camp for displaced people west of the city with more than nine successive missiles.”
They added, “Then this was followed by swarms of quadcopter drones. The ambulance and civil defense teams waited and opened machine gun fire on the cars upon their arrival.”
