Director of Sanaa Airport accuses coalition of stopping flights
SANAA, July 03 (YPA) – Director of Sanaa International Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, accused the Saudi-led coalition on Wednesday of stopping flights to and from Sanaa airport.
Al-Shayef said in a statement that the coalition stopped flights to and from Sanaa Airport a week ago and that “this is causing a major humanitarian disaster.”
For his part, the Chairman of the Supreme Medical Committee in Sanaa, Mutahar Darwish, said that the last flight for patients from Sanaa airport was a month ago, and only 12 patients were able to obtain reservations from outside Yemen.
Darwish confirmed that hundreds of patients die in the waiting line for treatment abroad, so the humanitarian file must be taken into consideration.
