ISTANBUL, May 19 (YPA) – The Turkish city of Istanbul witnessed on Sunday a demonstration of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
In the demonstration, thousands chanted for Palestine and its resistance and raised banners denouncing the ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip for seven months, demanding an immediate end to the genocide, and holding the occupation accountable for its crimes.
The participants denounced the double standards adopted by Western powers and the continued American support for the occupation, which encourages it to commit more crimes and makes the White House administration a direct partner in the killing.
The demonstrators also demanded the immediate and unconditional entry of aid into Gaza, an end to its siege, and contributions to its reconstruction.
