TEHRAN, May 19 (YPA) – Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi’s plane had an “emergency landing” accident in the northwest of the country on Sunday, Iranian News Agency reported.
The news agency pointed out that the harsh weather conditions and dense fog made the mission of rescue teams difficult.
The agency said that “16 rescue teams were sent to the area, but due to unfavorable weather conditions, the search and rescue operation will take some time.”
According to IRNA news agency; Raisi traveled to East Azerbaijan Province on Sunday morning to open the joint Qizqalasi dam on the border Aras River.
