Japan’s university students rally to support Palestinians in Gaza

TOKYO, May 05 (YPA) – Japanese university students have joined the global student movement in solidarity with the Gaza Strip for a ceasefire and halting cooperation with Israeli occupation universities.

Dozens of pro-Palestinian students and activists set up tents in front of their universities, and placed Palestinian flags above their protest camp, chanting “Long live free Palestine.”

About 5 Japanese universities in Tokyo, in addition to the universities of Sofia, Tama Art, International Christian University, and Hiroshima International University, witnessed pro-Palestine activities.

Social media platform pioneers praised Japanese universities that joined the pro-Palestinian protests to express solidarity with American university students who are subjected to repression and harassment by security forces.
