Researchers expect seismic tremors in Yemen

SANAA, April 30 (YPA) – Researchers specializing in monitoring earthquakes and volcanoes have expected marine tremors in the Gulf of Aden and Socotra Island, southern Yemen, in the coming days.

The researchers confirmed that after the occurrence of a sea tremor with a magnitude of 4.4 Richter during the past hours that struck off the coast of Salalah, Oman, there is a possibility of seismic energy being transmitted towards the Gulf of Aden and Socotra Island during the coming days.

They noted the possibility of marine tremors occurring in the epicenter of the previous earthquake off the coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea.
