UAE mobilizes its fighters to Mukalla city

HADRAMOUT, April 30 (YPA) – UAE-backed armed factions mobilized its fighters to the city of Mukalla, the provincial capital of Hadramout, eastern Yemen.

This came after the UAE had organized a military parade for all its factions in the coastal districts on the anniversary of the so-called “liberation” of the city from terrorist elements.

Sources familiar with the matter explained that Saudi Arabia sent the “Minister of Defense” of the coalition-backed government, Mohsen Al-Daeri, two days ago to Mukalla to limit the so-called provocations” carried out by the UAE against the Saudi Arabia through the “Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Hadramout’s coastal districts.

The sources reported that Saudi Arabia failed to limit the mobilizations and display of UAE-funded military formations in the coastal districts, amid accusations that Riyadh was behind the deployment of Al-Qaeda members in Mukalla between 2015 and 2016.

Meanwhile, political observers believe that the military parade by the Emirati factions was a fiery message to Saudi Arabia seeking to deploy its forces of Dera al-Watan in the coastal those districts last February.
