Iran’s President arrives in Pakistani Lahore

ISLAMABAD, April 23 (YPA) – The President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, arrived on Tuesday in Lahore city, the cultural capital of Pakistan, on the second day of his official visit to this country.

Raisi and his accompanying delegation left Islamabad, accompanied by the Pakistani Minister of Housing, heading to Lahore, the capital of the Pakistani province of Punjab.

The city of Lahore was announced to close on the occasion of the Iranian President’s visit, and the authorities also closed all educational centers and government and private offices to facilitate the movement of high-level Iranian delegations.

The Iranian President is scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister of Punjab province, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and Baligh Ur Rehman, the Governor of the province.

On Monday, he arrived in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, in response to an official invitation from the Pakistani side.
