Iran announces thwarting Zionist plan to target gas pipelines

TEHRAN, Feb. 22 (YPA) – Iran’s Petroleum Minister, Javad Oji, accused on Wednesday the Zionist entity of being behind the bombing of gas pipelines in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province in the southwest of the country, last week.

“The Zionist entity is responsible for the conspiracy against gas pipelines in Iran, but it was foiled,” Oji said, in statements reported by “Tasnim” agency, adding that the enemies targeted the infrastructure of the gas transportation network, in order to harm the country.”

Oji continued: “This conspiracy was mad by the Zionist entity, which failed and they only caused damage to a small number of pipes.”

“The enemy has planned to completely stop the process of pumping gas into a number of major cities and provinces during the current winter,” he revealed. “But we were able to thwart this plan by changing the route of the network and repairing the lines in the shortest possible time, without causing a gas outage.”
