Military operation in Rafah to begin during Ramadan: Gantz

QUDS, Feb. 22 (YPA) – Member of the war council in the Israeli occupation entity, Benny Gantz, said on Wednesday that forthcoming military operation in Rafah would start “even during Ramadan month.

He affirmed that aid will be transferred to Gaza through Arab countries for ensuring that it does not reach Hamas.

“There are attempts to reach a prisoner exchange agreement,” Gantz added in a news conference. “We will not hesitate to take any opportunity to return the detainees.”

He continued: “The Israeli army must complete its military goals in Gaza,” noting that operations continuing in the north against Hezbollah, until restoring security to the residents there.”

Gantz expressed his thanks to the US administration for preventing a ceasefire decision in Gaza.
