Al-Qassam Brigades inflict Israeli forces heavy losses in detonation of minefield south of Gaza

GAZA, Aug. 18 (YPA) – The Ezz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Monday that it had carried out a qualitative operation the day before yesterday, by detonating a minefield that targeted a force of Israeli occupation soldiers and vehicles in the south of the al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

In a brief statement, the Brigades confirmed that the explosion resulted in the death and injury of a number of Israeli soldiers, in addition to the destruction of military vehicles that were part of the targeted force.

The Israeli occupation authorities have not issued an official comment on the outcome of the operation yet, at a time when the fighting fronts in the Gaza Strip are witnessing an escalation in field confrontations between the resistance and the occupation forces.
