Senior Yemen commander affirms de-escalation in Red Sea is matched by Gaza calm

HODEIDA, Dec. 18 (YPA) – Maj. Gen. Yousef Al-Madani, the Commander of the Fifth Region of the Yemen armed Forces, affirmed on Monday that the de-escalation in the Red Sea will be conditional on the return of calm at the Gaza Strip.

“The Red Sea front is part of the Palestine front, and Yemen is an integral part of the battle of Palestine,” Al-Madani said in a statement, stressing the readiness of the Yemeni armed forces to confront any country or party trying to prevent them from being part of Palestine.”

He added: “We are concerned with increasing readiness to confront any threats that may arise, as the enemy is lurking in Yemen and seeking to react after being insulted.”

The commander Al-Madani explained that the Israeli ship “Galaxy Leader” was controlled under extremely complex circumstances and at a distance of 120 kilometers from the Yemeni coast.

He indicated that the operation was carried out successfully while the Americans were largely present in the Red Sea and close to the ship, explaining that the Yemeni special force that carried out the operation had received extensive training for two years to carry out similar operations.
