Sanaa’s FM receives written message from head of Hamas movement

SANAA, Aug. 13 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Minister of Foreign, Jamal Amer, met on Wednesday with the representative of the Hamas movement in Sanaa, Moaz Abu Shamala.

In the meeting, the minister received a written letter from the movement’s leader, Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya, who expressed Hamas’s appreciation and pride for the sacrifices of the Yemeni people, especially the Ansarallah movement, and the noble Yemeni people, and their steadfastness, heroism and bravery in the face of the Zionist enemy and its allies, despite the scale of the sacrifices, threats and barbaric attacks to which Yemen is subjected.

“We in the Hamas movement, along with the sons of our Palestinian people, commend the steadfastness, sacrifices, and determination of the Yemeni leadership and people, and their efforts in support of our just cause, and in defense of our steadfast people in Gaza,” Dr. Al-Hayya said in the letter.

Dr. Al-Hayya also stressed that Hamas and the Palestinian people would not forget the historic stances taken by the Yemenis, led by Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, noting that the Yemeni stances “have gone beyond words and condemnations, but have been written in actions and sealed with blood and limbs, including the massive million-strong marches, the missiles and drones striking deep within the Zionist entity and imposing total naval blockade on the occupying entity”.

The letter added, “We will never forget your political stances in support of Palestinian rights and condemnation of the occupation’s crimes.”

During the meeting, Minister Amer reiterated the firm position of the revolutionary and political leadership and the Sanaa government to continue supporting the Gaza Strip and to refuse to submit to any temptations in exchange for halting military operations in the Red Sea.

Mr. Amer explained that entering the fourth phase of support operations could witness surprises that would astonish the Zionist enemy, noting that the solution to lies by halting the aggression against the Gaza Strip and ensuring the free entry of all humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and fuel.

The minister praised the steadfastness of the resistance in the Gaza Strip in the face of the war crimes and genocide the Zionist enemy’s committing, considering the resistance’s continuation for nearly two years is evidence of the enemy’s moral, political, and military failure, which drives it to pursue a policy of starvation against civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.

For his part, Abu Shamala appreciated the historic humanitarian stance of the Republic of Yemen under the leadership of Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, describing the unlimited support for the people of the Gaza Strip as an honorable stance.

Abu Shamala commended the voluntary participation of millions of Yemenis in weekly marches to express their support for the Yemeni leadership’s position and its continued support for the Palestinian cause.
