juniors improve their chances of reaching West Asian semi-finals with win over Lebanon

SALALAH, Dec. 15 (YPA) – The Yemeni junior topped the first group of the 10th West Asian Junior Football Championship after defeating the Lebanese team with two clean goals in the match at the Al Saada Complex Stadium in the Omani city of Salalah on Friday.

Although the Yemeni team qualified for the tournament’s semi-finals after defeating Oman by a single goal in the second round, it did not give up the full nine points from three victories, the first of which came at the start of the tournament with a two-goal victory over Iraq.
