Zionist enemy forces assassinate Al-Jazeera cameraman “Samer Abu Daqqa” in Gaza
GAZA, Dec. 15 (YPA) – Al-Jazeera TV Channel announced on Friday evening the martyrdom of photographer Samer Abu Daqqa in Khan Yunis city, south of the Gaza Strip, as a result of being injured by shrapnel from the Zionist occupation air strikes on the Farhana School in the city.
Abu Daqqa was injured, along with reporter Wael Al-Dahdouh, during their coverage of the occupation’s bombing of Farhana School, while the ambulance was unable to reach Samer for more than 5 hours before his death was announced.
Following the injury of Al-Dahdouh and his colleague, photographer Samer Abu Daqqa, Al-Dahdouh was transferred to Nasser Medical Hospital to receive treatment. Developments in his health condition were not mentioned.
Al-Dahdouh reported that the Zionist enemy aircraft targeted the Al-Jazeera crew while they were accompanying an ambulance that was coordinating the evacuation of a besieged family.
“We tried, through the coordination given to the ambulance, to transport the scenes in the area, and after we finished, a missile surprised us,” said Al-Dahdouh. He continued: “I walked hundreds of meters after my injury, trying to stop the bleeding until I reached ambulance men.”
For its part, Al-Jazeera Channel and the press and media community condemned the Zionist occupation attack, in which Wael Al-Dahdouh was injured and Samer Abu Daqqa was martyred.
Al-Jazeera confirmed that this new crime is part of a systematic targeting of its correspondents and their families in the Gaza Strip, demanding that the occupation officials responsible for these crimes in the Gaza Strip be held accountable.
On October 25, a number of family members of the reporter Wael Al-Dahdouh, including his wife, son, and daughter, were martyred in an occupation bombing that targeted his house, while his daughter, Batoul, survived.
