Yemen attacks in Red Sea causes paralysis at “Eilat” port

WASHINGTON, Dec. 15 (YPA) – The American website “Axios” revealed on Friday that commercial ships were completely halted and were unable to reach the port of “Eilat” as a result of attacks by Yemeni armed forces in the Red Sea against ships heading to the port.

The website confirmed that ships heading to the Zionist entity from Asia are now taking a route that circles Africa, making the journey three weeks longer and more expensive.

During the past two weeks, ships heading to other ports outside the temporary entity also began using the longer route to reach Europe so as not to be targeted, according to the website.

According to international news agencies, since the start of the Zionist aggression on Gaza, the Israeli occupation army has admitted that Yemen has launched more than 70 drones and ballistic missiles towards the Zionist entity, which is more than 1,000 miles away from Yemen.

Meanwhile, the former commander of the Israeli Navy, Eliezer Merom, said that the Yemeni armed forces are imposing a complete naval blockade on “Israel,” and this has led to the disruption of the exit and entry of 95% of goods into the occupied Palestinian territories.

Fearing the Yemeni forces, the Israeli National Security Council yesterday issued “urgent instructions to the country’s ports to remove information related to the arrival and departure of ships from their websites,” according to what the Israeli “Globes” website reported.

Yemeni armed forces reiterated that they would continue preventing ships from navigating the Arabian Sea and Red Sea to Israeli ports until Gaza’s siege is lifted and necessary food and medicine is brought in.
