Belgian FM summons Israeli ambassador

BRUSSELS, Aug. 08 (YPA) –The Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot (Francophone centrist) has summoned the Israeli ambassador to Brussels following Israel’s approval of a plan to fully occupy Gaza.

According to the Belgian news agency, Prévot summoned Israeli ambassador Idit Rosenzweig-Abu to the Foreign Ministry after the Israeli occupation government approved the plan to occupy the remaining parts of the Gaza Strip.

Prévot condemned Israel’s decision, describing it as unacceptable and in violation of international law.

The minister also condemned the actions of colonists who seize Palestinian lands in the occupied Palestinian Territory.

He added that all these practices, which may lead to the erasure of Palestine from the map, are rejected and contradict international law, United Nations resolutions, and the International Court of Justice.
