Dozens of employees of Al-Shaibani companies protest in Taiz

TAIZ, Dec. 12 (YPA) – Dozens of workers and employees of Al-Shaibani Companies factories organized an angry demonstration to protest the armed attacks by members of the Islah Party in the coalition-held areas in the city of Taiz.

In a rally, the protesters denounced the attacks and siege by Islah members led by Jamil Aklan against the Takamul International for Food and Beverages Company, imposing the siege on the public administration building and the plastic and ice companies, turning into a military barracks.

The workers confirmed that the armed elements caused the cessation of work in the group’s largest companies and obstructed work in the rest of the companies, calling on the Islah leaders to immediately evacuate, limit the attacks on companies that are their source of income.

The company’s employees explained that they have been suffering from siege, threats, and intimidation for seven days, which led to the cessation of work in the company and the disruption of work in the rest of the companies, such as ice, plastics, and general administration.

They appealed to the responsible authorities to intervene urgently to protect them and their companies from the gunmen led or sponsored by influential officials in the coalition-backed government, exploiting their positions and jobs to bully citizens and investors and attempt to confiscate companies.
