Angry protests demand end to pro-coalition authorities’ corruption in Abyan
ABYAN, Oct. 01 (YPA) – The people of Ludar District in Abyan province, southern Yemen, continued on Sunday their angry uprising for the third week in a row, demanding an end to the corruption practiced by local authorities loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.
Participants in the protests accused the local authorities of the pro-coalition government, headed by Moein Abdelmalik, of corruption, misuse of humanitarian aid provided by organizations, and the manipulation of the records of the displaced.
They affirmed that the protests and escalation will continue until the corrupt officials are dismissed and held accountable for tampering with public funds.
