SANAA, Sept. 23 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected rainfall on various parts of Yemen provinces.
In its weather forecast, the center said that the rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, may fall on the western coasts, and parts of the provinces of Lahj, Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Mahweet, and Hajjah, as well as light rains on Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Bayda, Sanaa, Amran, and Saada.
The center also expected winds would be strong around the Socotra Archipelago, the southern coasts, and the Gulf of Aden, ranging its speeds between 20-30 knots, and moderate to active on the eastern coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, with speeds reaching between 10-20 knots.
It called on motorists to drive carefully due to the reduced horizontal visibility during rain.
