Tribal sheikh arrested inside Lahj al-Anad base

LAHJ, Aug. 26 (YPA) – One of sheikhs of Al-Sabiha tribes in Lahj province, south of Yemen, was arrested on Saturday by the coalition-backed armed factions.

Activists said that the Fourth Military Region’s commander, Fadhl Hassan loyal to the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council summoned, Sadiq al-Suwaidi, the sheikh of al-Suwaidi tribe in al-Sabiha area, to al-Anad base in the province, and arrested and hid him, due to his criticism about financial corruption and looting soldiers’ duties and their salaries.
