Al-Mashat recommends increasing tax exemption rates for Hodeida industrial zone projects

SANAA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – The President of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Saturday recommended that the rates of exemption from income taxes for projects in Hodeida’s industrial zone be increased to a minimum of 10 years.

This came during his meeting today with the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs – Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, and the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital, Sanaa, Ali Al-Hadi.

In the meeting, Al-Hadi presented the chamber’s vision to motivate traders to invest and increase the rates of exemption for projects from income taxes for more than six years.

The incentives and benefits granted to investors and manufacturers in the industrial zone in Hodeida, which were issued earlier and entered into force, were reviewed in the meeting.
