Lebanese policeman killed in Israeli drone airstrike at Aitaroun

BEIRUT, Aug. 14 (YPA) – An Israeli drone targeted, on Thursday, a motorcycle carrying policeman Youssef Abdullah, in the town of Aitaroun in southern Lebanon.

He sustained severe injuries and died upon arrival at the hospital, according to medical and local sources.

Eyewitnesses reported that ambulances rushed to the site of the attack immediately after the raid, while Israeli drones continued to fly intensively at low altitudes over several areas, including the town of Jibsheet in southern Lebanon.

This targeting comes amid escalating tensions on the Lebanese-Palestinian border and the continued Israeli raids targeting various areas in the south.
