8,000 children killed in coalition bombing on Yemen

SANAA, Aug 13 (YPA) – More than 8,000 children have been killed since the Saudi-led coalition carried out its military operation on Yemen in 2015.

Minister of Human Rights in the Sanaa government, Ali Al-Dailami, revealed in a news statement that the killed were directly bombed by the coalition forces.

Al-Dailami renewed his denunciation of the crime committed by the coalition against the children of Dhahyan area of Saada province five years ago, which led to killing 51 children and 76 wounding 76 others.

He said that the direct and indirect killing against the Yemeni children is still continuing, whether as a result of mines, cluster bombs and weapons remnants of the coalition, or the continuation of the blockade.

The minister expressed deep regret at the decline in human values and the absence of fairness in the international humanitarian system.

The statement also condemned the international fallacies in whitewashing the page of the coalition, at a time when it claims to have taken measures to protect children in Yemen without having any impact on reality, which represents a scandal for the international position that preferred to conclude deals at the expense of the blood of Yemeni children.
