Yemen manages to grow nutrients-rich fruit

SANAA, Aug 13 (YPA) – Yemeni farmers in the provinces of Taiz and Hajjah managed to grow a rare fruit rich in nutrients.

Local media reported that Yemen has become one of the few countries in the world that grows the “Jackfruit” fruit, which is rich in human nutrients, after Yemeni farmers succeeded in cultivating it in Dobaa area in Taiz and Bani Al-Awam area of Hajjah.

Several Yemeni activists on social media circulated pictures of jackfruit in the two areas.

Jackfruit is one of the rarest and largest fruits in the world and It has a sweet taste and strong aroma. It is a mixture of bananas, pineapples and mangoes, and contains many important nutrients for the body, such as vitamins, minerals and fiber.

The success of Yemeni farmers in farming jackfruit is a great achievement, which opens new horizons for the development of the agricultural field.
