Sanaa releases 25 prisoners in Taiz ahead of Mawlid celebrations

TAIZ, Aug. 16 (YPA) -Security agencies in Taiz Governorate, affiliated with the Sanaa government released 25 individuals on Saturday who had previously been recruited and fought alongside the Saudi-led coalition forces.

The release, which took place from the Police Intelligence Prison, marks the first batch and coincides with the Yemeni people’s celebrations of the Prophet’s birthday anniversary.

Sources confirmed that the release was carried out under directives from the revolutionary and political leadership.

During the release, Hamis Al-Habbari, head of the Social Affairs Unit in the governorate, urged the released individuals to return to the right path and reintegrate into society.

He emphasized the leadership’s commitment to turning the page on the past and opening new horizons for national unity.

For their part, the released individuals expressed gratitude for their release, affirming that they have come to realize the true nature of the coalition and its dangers to the country.

They pledged to return to their normal lives among their families and communities, committed to serving the nation and society.
