STC thwarts sabotage plan by Islah militants in Aden

ADEN, Aug 10 (YPA) –  The UAE-backed Transitional Council (STC)’s militia said on Thursday  it had thwarted a sabotage plot, which includes bombings and assassinations by Islah militants in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden.

According to the Pro-STC media, Aden security arrested a cell belonging to the commander of the Transport Brigade Amjad Khaled aimed at targeting security situation in the city of Aden.

“The seven members of the cell confessed that they followed Amjad Khaled, ” Dar Saad police chief Colonel Musleh al-Dharhani said.

The STC accuses Amjad Khaled of involvement in many terrorist crimes in Aden, which the leader affiliated with the Islah Party denies, considering as part of the political conflict between the STC and Islah.
