Two Turkish soldiers killed in PKK attack in northern Iraq

WORLD, Aug 10 (YPA) – At least two Turkish soldiers were killed and 3 others were wounded in an attack carried out by members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, The Turkish Ministry of Defense said  on Wednesday evening.

The attack took place in the area of Turkey’s “Claw-Lock” operation inside Iraqi territory (northern Iraq).

According to the ministry, five people were arrested while trying to enter Turkish territory illegally, coming from Syria.

It noted that investigations showed that “two of them belong to the PKK terrorist organization.”
