ADEN, July 01 (YPA) – Violent explosions on Saturday shook the Sha’ab area in the city of Aden, which is under the control of Saudi-led coalition factions, southern Yemen.
According to the local sources, explosion took place in an ammunition depot belonging to the Security Belt Forces affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), in the Sha’ab Camp, without recording casualties.
The sources attributed the causes of the explosion, which occurred in one of the weapons depots, to a short circuit.
The explosions caused a state of panic and terror among the people near the camp, one of the sources said, adding that shell fragments flew from the scene of to various areas, but no injuries have been reported among citizens so far.
This comes after a number of cultural and societal components in Aden demanded the removal of coalition factions’ camps from the city.
