UAE reinforces Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces with Yemeni recruits

ADEN, May 03 (YPA) – The UAE has sent military reinforcements to the “Rapid Support” forces in Sudan, through the port of Mocha, west of the Yemeni province of Taiz.

Hammoud Abu Mismar, one of activists, said on Twitter that the UAE sent a military battalion of the so-called “Republican Guards” forces, led by “Tariq Afash”, to Sudan to reinforce the forces of Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, which has been engaged in fierce confrontations with the Sudanese army in the capital, Khartoum, since last month.

He pointed out that the UAE transported the battalion’s recruits, with their full military equipment, by a ship in the port of Mocha.

The UAE faces direct accusations by international organizations of involvement in the bloody confrontations that Sudan has been witnessing for nearly three weeks.

According to observers, the conflicting Sudanese forces don’t intend to withdraw their recruits sent to fight alongside Saudi Arabia and the UAE against the people of Yemen, indicating that Abu Dhabi prefers to transfer mercenaries from one country to another in service of suspicious agendas during which the paid recruits are used against the peoples of the region.
