MAHRA, Aug. 10 (YPA) – A person was killed, and several others were wounded in armed clashes that erupted Sunday morning between two tribes in the Hawf district of Mahra province, eastern Yemen.
A local source reported that the clashes broke out between gunmen from the Kada and Balhaf tribes in the village of Al Fatak in the coastal area of Yaroub, following a dispute over a plot of land.
Members of both tribes used light and medium weapons in the clashes, while local authorities or forces loyal to the Saudi-led coalition did not intervene to stop the clashes.
The source indicated that tensions remain between the two tribes, with no solution to the disputes that led to the armed clashes.
