Attorney General orders release of 248 prisoners in Saada

SAADA, March 02 (YPA) – The Attorney General, Judge Muhammad Al-Dailami, ordered the release of 248 prisoners from the prisons in Saada province on Thursday.

The Attorney General said in a statement that these directives came during his field trip, last Tuesday, to inspect the conditions of inmates and detainees in the Central Reformatory and Remand Prison and the Criminal Investigation Detention in Saada.

Judge Al-Dailami indicated that the prisoners’ grievances were heard, and those who deserve conditional release were granted it after three-quarters of the period had passed, as well as directing the deportation of 35 prisoners of African nationalities to their countries.
