MOSCOW, March 01 (YPA) – First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, on Tuesday called on the Zionist enemy entity to stop armed provocations against Syria, as this may lead to dangerous consequences for the entire region.
The “Novosti” agency quoted Polyansky as saying: “On February 19, the Zionist air force bombed Syria, and several targets were attacked in Damascus and its suburbs, and one of the missiles fell in a densely populated residential building.”
He added, “As a result, five people were killed and 15 others were injured.. One of the shrapnel from the Zionist missile, which was intercepted by the Syrian air defense, fell 300 meters from the Russian embassy in Damascus.”
Polyansky strongly condemned the arbitrary measures taken by the Zionist entity, which constitute a flagrant violation of international law.
He concluded by saying: “Moscow proceeds from the fact that the continuation of such practices is completely unacceptable, especially when many countries of the world, including Russia, help the Syrians to overcome the consequences of the earthquake.”
