Islah militants push military forces to Hadramout

MARIB, Feb. 03 (YPA) – Islah militants pushed on Saturday large military forces from the city of Marib towards Hadramout province.

Local sources in Marib said that the Islah Party sent dozens of recruits of the so-called Special Security Forces to Al-Abr area and Al-Qattan district of Hadramout province.

The sources indicated that the military reinforcements came to support one of the land looters in the districts of Valley and Desert of Hadramout.

According to the sources, these forces were sent also with the goal of spreading over vast agricultural lands in the areas of Al-Qatn, Wadi Dawan and Al-Ain.

This comes amid news talking about an upcoming conflict between the UAE-backed factions and the Saudi-funded Islah militants to extend influence in Hadramout and Marib, which are rich in oil and gas wealth.
